Paint On Canvas

Prepare to Paint

Creating this artwork felt like hosting a tiny, colorful rebellion on my canvas. Every shape insisted on showing up uninvited, every pastel shade wandered in like it owned the place, and the black lines? They were the dramatic narrators, swooping in to declare, “Yes, this is exactly where the story turns.”

The cardboard underneath became a witness — splattered, smudged, and absolutely guilty of enabling the chaos.

Somewhere between the accidental drips, the “oops-that-actually-works” moments, and the layers that decided to stack themselves like unruly pancakes, the piece finally announced it was finished.

It’s abstract art, but honestly, it behaved more like a creature with opinions. And I love it for that.

MORE ABOUT THE RESCUE MISSION:

I work with recycled canvases the way some people rescue stray cats — lovingly, impulsively, and with full belief that every scruffy thing deserves a second chance. These canvases arrive with their own past lives: old paint ghosts, forgotten brushstrokes, and textures that refuse to behave. Instead of hiding their history, I glorify it. I layer new color over old stories, the past is the past, and a new story unfolds in all it’s glory…like a mischievous side character.
