About Storybook Studio

Welcome to Storybook Studio!

We at Storybook Studio embrace the joy of experiencing the world from a child’s perspective. We bring stories to life through captivating children’s books and handcrafted artwork, all of which are motivated by the charm, eagerness, and creativity of young intellects. Finding a perfect item for your room or learning a new story will immerse you in a world where creativity has no boundaries and joy is handcrafted.

Let’s tell beautiful stories together.

About Troy & Shannon

We are high school sweethearts who have shared a life filled with family, challenges, and laughter. After marrying in 1990, we built a home in Loranger, Louisiana, where we raised three children and were later blessed with seven grandchildren.

Both of us have worked with children in different capacities, but the most profound spark for our vision came from recognizing an essential truth: children are not miniature adults. They arrive in this world without a manual, and it is our role to learn what they need in order to grow into kind, capable human beings.

Our years together have been a blend of plans carefully made and unexpected turns down unmarked roads. There were times of struggle, and there were moments of deep sweetness. We look forward to the path we find ourselves on now and hope you get to travel a piece of it with us.

A Humble Beginning

When we imagined what life would look like outside of the nine-to-five grind, we did not anticipate being a business full of children’s storybooks and original art, but here we are! Sometimes the universe has plans long before we know about them, and we are fortunate enough to be able to demonstrate that.

It all started when we thought writing a children’s book would be fun, and one story turned into another, and then we realized we could create something that could last. A trip to Philadelphia, a city full of many inspiring museums, made us realize not only could this be about children’s books, but it could also afford us the opportunity to create a shared space where stories and art coexist.

From that moment, our vision shifted. We saw the value of harnessing the talent in front of us and turning it into something collaborative and meaningful. With our children and grandchildren close by, we realized that we could give them a space to create, to be heard, and to thrive.

We could complain about how screens consume childhood, or we could provide alternatives filled with color and creativity. We could despair over the noise of politics, or we could tell stories that encourage kindness and perspective. We could drift into retirement quietly, or we could step into this new season with joy and purpose. We chose the latter every time.

In April 2025, we launched Storybook Studio with the purpose of creating books and art that invite children and adults alike to dream, to question, and to see the good around them.

Our Values

Our values are at the heart of everything we do. They inform decisions, create stories, and keep us accountable to our community:

  • Integrity: We commit to honesty and transparency in everything we do.
  • Inclusivity: We accept and value diversity and include all viewpoints in our community.
  • Sustainability: We utilize the elements of nature to create, we upcycle materials, and we see our art as an agent for change.

These are promises to ourselves, our clients, and our partners. They represent living principles that remind us of the larger purpose of every children’s book or stroke of art.

The People Behind the Pages

Behind every story and painting at Storybook Studio is a family of creators, each offering their own perspective. The team is made up of both children and adults who work together on projects that blend play with purpose.

This culture of collaboration lies at the heart of Storybook Studio’s mission. It’s not about one person’s voice; it’s about building something meaningful as a family and inviting others to share in that experience. Every new story and every work of art captures the collective imagination of a community that values innovation, tolerance, and development.

The Founder Journey

Troy and Shannon Stevens continue to walk this path together, discovering new directions and embracing the joy of taking the road less traveled. Their journey is not about being “in charge” but about creating side by side, with each step shaped by openness and possibility.

Shannon, an Occupational Therapist, and Troy, an educator, have spent their lives working with children in ways that heal, teach, and connect. What started as one simple story about a rooster with a lesson to share has grown into a collection of children’s storybooks and art for kids. Each project reflects its shared belief in the power of creativity to build stronger families and brighter communities.

Looking Ahead

The future of Storybook Studio is rooted in hope. We aim to continue creating storybooks for children, expanding our collections of family-inspired art, and reaching homes across the world. We want to be a place where children learn, parents connect, and generations share meaningful experiences.

For us, this work is more than publishing or painting. It’s about planting seeds of kindness and imagination that will bloom in every household that welcomes our books and art.
