Mini Valentine Mailbox with Love Notes

Our Mini Mailbox project is easy to complete with our premade, printable templates. Create mini love notes with envelopes, and a mailbox to deliver them to. It's a great Valentine craft idea to make and give to a teacher, friends or family. It's also a great class or group project for older children (7 and up).

To complete this project, you will
need:
- A Printer
- White paper, colored construction paper and/or colored cardstock
- 1 - pair of scissors (or safety scissors for small children)
- 1 Glue gun (recommended) or glue stick
- 1 brad or paper fastener

Step 1
Print the following templates onto your paper or cardstock:

Step 2
Mini Mailbox
Print mailbox template on paper or cardstock. Cut out and make folds according to the directions on template.

Apply glue to the folded edge of the MAILBOX TOP piece, and attach the edge of the MAILBOX BOTTOM as shown

Apply glue to the folded edge of back of the MAILBOX BOTTOM piece, and carefully wrap the MAILBOX TOP piece over as you are glueing. Make sure that all notched pieces are on the inside of the mailbox.
Then, apply glue to the other folded edge of the MAILBOX TOP piece, and attach it to the edge of the MAILBOX BOTTOM piece.

You should have something that looks like this when you are finished with this step.

Glue the folded edges of the MAILBOX HANDLE to the outside front flap of the mailbox.

Step 2
Cut the flag from the envelopes template and attach it the side of your mailbox with your brad or paper fastener.
|
Cut out the envelopes template, and fold bottom and side pieces away from the printed side of the paper. Glue as shown.

Stuff your Mini Love notes inside of the envelopes and place inside the mailbox. Don't forget to put the flag up!
This is a fun way to let your kids know that you're thinking about them. Leave it on your kitchen counter and leave love notes and small treats for them all year long!
